Content Router 2.0 Availability and Protection
Protect content and ensure continuous availability.
Protect business critical content by automatically replicating and distributing to
geographically diverse sites. Rules in the content metadata contain instructions to mirror content, replicate over distance for disaster recovery and route specific content to remote clusters. Automatic fail-over ensures application servers remain up and available.
Safeguard content with synchronous writes. New!
CAStor 4.0 now supports synchronous writes to a local and remote
cluster. This new real time option complements Content Router by instantly safeguarding content in more than one cluster.
Create efficient distribution models.
Roll-up content from clusters located at remote offices to a central facility in one-to-one, one-to-many, or many-to-one scenarios. Define rules to distribute content to specified remote clusters and ensure it is locally available to users at branch office or edge network locations for faster retrieval.

Sidestep disaster with automatic failover.
If a disaster takes down your entire primary storage facility applications continue uninterrupted. Parallel server instances allow for easy failover if one server should fail. Applications can be designed to automatically failover to a remote DR site to ensures continuous data availability and accessibility.
Anticipate latency and intermittent connectivity.
Replicate over wide area networks (WANs) with tolerance for high latency and intermittent connectivity. Admin can determine the most efficient times for service requests to be sent and schedule them accordingly. If a remote cluster is unavailable, requests are resent for a configurable amount of time until complete.
